New bus terminal to open in Tikkurila on 1 January 2015

The Tikkurila bus terminal will move to the new office and commercial center Dixi on 1 January. The new terminal will facilitate transfers between buses and trains.

The Tikkurila travel center will become a significant transport hub in summer 2015 when the Ring Rail Line will open and Tikkurila will become an interchange station, for example, for passengers going to the airport.

The opening of the new terminal affects the routes and timetables of bus services running via Tikkurila. Commuter train platforms will be accessible via a new bridge over the tracks.

The routes and timetables of the bus services running to the new Tikkurila terminal will change. Also construction work on the center of Tikkurila affects bus routes. The routes of Vantaa internal buses 46, 50, 53, 55, 57, 60, 61, 62, 63, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73 and 99 as well as regional buses 577 and 700N will change at the beginning of 2015. There will also be some timetable changes. Also the departure place of the airport bus 61 will change: from 5am on Monday 1 January, the bus will leave from Dixi platform 8.

Vantaa Info to serve Travel Card customers from 15 January 2015

The Tikkurila Citizens’ Office, which serves HSL’s Travel Card customers, will move to Dixi on 15 January. The office will be renamed as Vantaa Info. 

The service point will be open in the current location (Ratatie 7) until Friday 9 January. The office will be closed 12 – 14 January and open at the new location in Dixi on Thursday 15 January.
