Autumn timetables now available in the Journey Planner

HSL area public transport will switch to autumn timetables on 10 August. At the same time, there will be major changes to some bus routes. You can now study routes from 10 August with the Journey Planner at www.reittiopas.fi.

The biggest changes will take effect in Vantaa where a new bus route network will be introduced. The routes of many bus services will change and all route numbers will change. The redesign of the Vantaa bus network is due to the opening of the Ring Rail Line, which is to be the main transport link between Vantaa and Helsinki city center.

Another major change is a new trunk bus route 560 which will start running from Rastila (M) via Vuosaari (M), Kontula (M) and Malmi to Myyrmäki. The frequently running route will shorten crosstown journey times, providing an excellent feeder link from East Helsinki to trains operating along the main line and Ring Rail Line. Between Paloheinä and Kuninkaantammi, the route will run in an over one-kilometer long public transport tunnel; the tunnel shortens journey times by up to 15 minutes.
