Tram routes 1A, 2, 3, 4, 7A and 7B will be diverted on Friday evening 13 December due to the Lucia Parade. The trams will be partly replaced by buses 3X and 4X.
Tram route 1A will be diverted approximately from 5.45pm to 7pm to run along Kaisaniemenkatu, Kaivokatu, Mannerheimintie, Bulevardi, Fredrikinkatu and Laivurinkatu. The tram will not serve Kruununhaka and the Market Square.
Trams 2 and 3 will run along Mannerheimintie, Bulevardi, Fredrikinkatu and Tehtaankatu to the terminus of tram 1A on Pursimiehenkatu approximately 5.45pm-7pm. A replacement bus 3X will run between Viiskulma and the Market Square. The bus will leave from the Viiskulma stop (1174) in Viiskulma, at the Market Square, the bus will leave from the Esplanadi stop (2002).The bus will stop at bus and tram stops along the route.
Tram 4 will run between Munkkiniemi and Kolmikulta approximately 5.45pm-7pm. A replacement bus 4X will run from Erottaja to Katajanokka. The bus will leave from the Erottaja bus stop (1900). During the time Pohjoisesplanadi is closed to traffic because of the parade, the bus will use the route shown on the attached map with a blue dash line.
Trams 7A and 7B will run via Kaivokatu approximately 5.45pm-7pm. The trams will not serve Aleksanterinkatu, Snellmaninkatu and Liisankatu.
The Lucia Parade will start from the Senate Square at about 6pm and proceed along Unioninkatu, Aleksanterinkatu, Mannerheimintie and Pohjoisesplanadi back to the Senate Square. The parade may cause delays to traffic.
