Tram routes diverted in downtown Helsinki on 31 December due to New Year celebration

Tram routes 2, 3, 4, 4T, 7A and 7B will be diverted on Tuesday 31 December approximately from 7.50pm until the end of service due to the New Year celebration at the Senate Square. Tram services will be replaced by buses in Eira and Katajanokka.

Trams 2 and 3 will run to the terminus of tram 1A on Pursimiehenkatu. In Eira, the trams will be replaced by bus 3X which will run from the Market Square via Eteläranta, Laivasillankatu, Tehtaankatu and Laivurinkatu to Viiskulma. 

The bus 3X will leave from the ”Kauppatori” (2004) bus stop by the Market Square and at the other end, the terminus will be the "Viiskulma" (1174) stop on Pursimiehenkatu.

Trams 4 and 4T will run to Kolmikulma. The trams will be replaced by buses 4X and 4TX between Lasipalatsi and Katajanokka. The buses will leave from the ”Erottaja” (1900) bus stop.

The buses 4X and 4TX will run along Mannerheimintie, Eteläesplanadi, Katajanokanlaituri, Satamakatu, Kruunuvuorenkatu, from where the bus 4X continues to Merisotilaantori and 4TX to the Katajanokka
Terminal.

Trams 7A and 7B will run via Kaivokatu and Kaisaniemenkatu. They will not serve Aleksanterinkatu, Snellmaninkatu and Liisankatu.
