Tram routes return to their normal routes in Hakaniemi on 1 October

The track work in Hakaniemi is completed and trams will return to their normal routes on 1 October.

As of next Tuesday, trams 1, 1A, 3 and 9 will run via Porthaninkatu and Kaarlenkatu. The trams will start to stop at the tram stops on the Eläintarhanlahti side of the stop area.

Work continues in the Hakaniemi tram stop area and the stops can be accessed only from the south side until the end of October.

The temporary tram stops on Helsinginkatu close to the Hämeentie junction will be closed.

Also the timetables of tram routes 1, 1A, 2, 3, 6, 6T, 7A, 7B, 8 and 9 will change. The new timetables are available in the timetable booklet, printable timetables can be found also at hsl.fi.

Bus routes 23, 23N, 51 and 03N are diverted in Hakaniemi until the end of October. Bus 51 runs via Viides linja when leaving from Hakaniemi. In the direction of Pasila, bus 03N runs along Hakaniemenranta, Hakaniemen torikatu and Toinen Linja. In Hakaniemi, the buses use the bus stop located on Hakaniemen torikatu.

In the direction of the Central Railway Station, buses 03N and 23 run from Toinen linja via Hakaniemen torikatu and Hakaniemenranta to Siltasaarenkatu.

During the renovation, the old tram tracks were replaced. The old tracks were over 30 years old. Work on the waterproofing of the lid of the Metro station’s ticket hall continues and the renovation of the stop area will be completed during the autumn. Special traffic arrangements will remain place until the end of October due to the works. The renovation of the stop area will be completed at the end of November.
