Hämeentie will be closed to traffic between Haapaniemenkatu and Pääskylänkatu on Saturday 1 August due to Kallio Block Party. Bus and tram routes operating in the area will be diverted.
Buses will run via Sörnäisten rantatie using the following route: Hämeentie - Haapaniemenkatu - Sörnäisten rantatie - Lautatarhankatu/Pääskylänkatu - Hämeentie/Mäkelänkatu.
There are temporary bus stops along the diversion route on Haapaniemenkatu (from the direction of the city center) and on Pääskylänkatu (in the direction of the city center). Bus routes will be diverted from 8am to midnight.
Tram routes 6, 6T, 7A and 7B will run along Siltasaarenkatu, Porthaninkatu, Viides linja, Kaarlenkatu, Helsinginkatu, Läntinen Brahenkatu, Sturenkatu and Mäkelänkatu (7A/B) / Hämeentie (6/T). The trams will be diverted througthout their operating hours and they will serve all stops along the diversion route. In Hakaniemi, the trams will serve the same stops as tram routes 1, 3 and 9. The tram stops on the Hakaniemi market square side of the street are out of use.
Tram route 8 has been diverted from the beginning of June due to track work on Helsinginkatu. The tram runs via Läntinen Brahenkatu and Sturenkatu.
