The reorganization of bus routes in North-East Helsinki will also affect crosstown bus services from Leppävaara and Itäkeskus. Bus 554 will be rerouted from Monday 14 August and a new bus route, 553 and 553K, will be introduced at the same time. 
Bus 554 will run from Itäkeskus to Malmi station as before but from there, it will continue to Tapaninkylä and Tapanila Sports Park.

A new route, 553, will start running between Malmi and Leppävaara. The bus will run from Leppävaara via Maunula to Pukinmäki station and continue via Malmi station and Heikinlaakso to Hakunila. Bus 553K via Pitäjänmäki and Lassila using the same route as current route 554K.
