Pedestrian access to the middle platform of the Hakaniemi tram stops changes on 9 January. The entrance building to the Metro between the tram stops will be refurbished and access to the stop is only at the southern end of the platform.
The demolition of the old entrance building begins on Monday 9 January. The entrance has been closed since last autumn but when the demolition of the building begins, the pedestrian access next to the entrance building is also closed. Access to the stop is at the southern end of the platform.
A new entrance building is scheduled to be completed in autumn 2017.
The construction of a new entrance is part of the renovation of Hakaniemi Metro Station. The ticket hall at the southern end of the station and the entrances are refurbished. The renovation will be completed in autumn 2018.
