The traditional truck ride related to high school seniors’ celebration of their last school day will take place in Helsinki on Thursday 16 February from 1pm to 2pm. The truck parade will start from Merisatama and proceed via Ehrenströmintie and Laivasillankatu to the actual parade route: Pohjoisesplanadi–Lönnrotinkatu–Hietalahdentori–Bulevardi–Yrjönkatu–Uudenmaankatu–Erottajankatu–Eteläesplanadi.
Tram routes 3 and 6 will be diverted from about 12.50pm to 2pm. Tram 3 will run via Aleksanterinkatu to the Olympia Terminal. It will not serve Bulevardi, Fredrikinkatu and Laivurinkatu. Tram 6 will run via Erottajankatu and Yrjönkatu to the terminus of route 10 by the Surgical Hospital instead of Bulevardi.
The event will cause traffic congestion in downtown Helsinki.
