The timetables of the Suomenlinna ferry will change on 24 September. The new timetables will run until 4 November, when the ferry will switch to winter timetables. The winter timetables will operate until 31 March 2019.
In the future, the M/S Suomenlinna 2 will operate from morning until 7pm (last departure from Suomenlinna at 7pm) and M/S Suokki will operate in the evening (first departure from the Market Square at 7.20pm). M/S Suomenlinna 2 is bigger and newer than M/S Suokki.
There will be two changes to the timetables when switching to winter timetables:
- The 8.20 service from the Market Square will start to leave at 8pm
- The 8.40pm service from Suomenlinna will start to leave at 8.20pm
In addition, there will be additional ferry services on nine weekends during the autumn and next spring.
