The metro will not run from Itäkeskus to Mellunmäki and Vuosaari on Friday evening 11 January 2019. On Saturday 12 January and Sunday 13 January, the metro will not operate from Lauttasaari eastwards. The disruption is due to the installation of a new interlocking.
The metro will be replaced by buses running from East Helsinki to the city center and Lauttasaari. In addition, buses 20X and 21 will replace buses 20 and 21 and run from Vattuniemi and Katajaharju to the Kamppi bus station and tram 11 will run between Sörnäinen and Salmisaari. The metro will run between Lauttasaari and Matinkylä every five minutes. In addition, bus 147N will run throughout the day from Espoonlahti to Kamppi over the weekend.
