Entrance B to the Hakaniemi Metro Station to be closed and entrance A to be opened on 6 April

Entrance B to the Hakaniemi Metro Station located on Porthaninkatu at the Siltasaarenkatu corner will be closed from 6 April due to the demolition of the office building at street level. Entrance A from Toinen linja, which has been closed, will reopen at the same time. When entrance B is closed, accessible entrance to the station will only be available from the Hakaniemi Market Square side of the station.

From 6 April, the Hakaniemi Metro Station will not be wheelchair and pram accessible from the direction of Toinen linja or from the northern end of the station. There is no lift at entrance A, only stairs. Mobility impaired passengers and others needing an accessible entrance are advised to use the entrances on the Hakaniemi Market Square side of the station. Entrance B will be closed and entrance A will open on the morning of 6 April.

On the Hakaniemi Market Side of the station, there are lifts at entrances C and E. Entrance C is located next to the temporary Market Hall and entrance E is on the opposite side of Siltasaarenkatu viewed from the direction of the Market Hall. You can see the locations of all the entrances on the map below. At the station, routes to the entrances are signposted.

During the demolition work, the easiest interchange to many buses and trams is via the entrances and stops on the Hakaniemi Market Square side of the station. Some of the stops on the Toinen linja side of the station have been relocated due to the demolition work and are currently further away from the station entrances. Read more about the stop relocations in the release published in January.

The Metro Station and other entrances are open as usual.
