Unioninkatu will be closed to trams between Aleksanterinkatu and Pohjoisesplanadi from Saturday 16 May 6pm to Sunday 17 May 6am due to excavation work. Tram routes 2 and 3 will be on diversion.
Tram 2 will run to Eira along Mannerheimintie, Bulevardi, Fredrikinkatu, Laivurinkatu, Tehtaankatu, Perämiehenkatu and Pursimiehenkatu (terminus for tram 1).
From Pursimiehenkatu, the tram will continue as tram 3 and return using the same route and then resume its normal route to Meiilahti.
Tram 3 will run to the Olympia Terminal as usual. From the Olympia Terminal, the tram will contiue as usual under route number 2 to Pasila station. The tram will run via Eira only in the anti-clockwise direction.
The tram will not serve the "Ylioppilastalo" (H0401), "Aleksanterinkatu" (H0403), "Senaatintori" (H0405, Senate Square), "Kauppatori" (H0430, Market Square), "Eteläranta" (H0432), "Olympiaterminaali" (H0434), "Kaivopuisto" (H0436), "Neitsytpolku" (0H438) and "Kapteeninkatu" (H0440) stops.
