The renovation of Mechelininkatu has been completed and tram 8 will resume its normal route between the Opera and Jätkäsaari on Saturday 1 September. At the same time, the replacement bus 8X (Opera–Jätkäsaari) will be withdrawn and the temporary bus stops will be closed. 
New "Caloniuksenkatu" stops will be opened on Mechelinkatu next to the Arkadiankatu junction. The former "Perho" and "Caloniuksenkatu" stops will no longer be served.
