Bus 16 will have additional services to the Helsinki Zoo on Korkeasaari island for the Night of Cats on 6 September and 13 September.
Korkeasaari can also be accessed by foot via the Isoisänsilta bridge from Kalasatama. The bridge is a one kilometer walk from Kalasatama Metro Station and and the stops of trunk routes 500 and 510. In addition, the "Polariksenkatu" bus stop served by buses 50 and 59 is close to Isoisänsiltä bridge.
Additional services on 6 and 13 September
The additional services will run from the Railway Square (Rautatientori) to Korkeasaari about every 20–30 minutes from 5.20pm along the normal route of bus 16, including the call at Kulosaari Metro Station.
Additional services from Korkeasaari to the Railway Square will run from 5.57pm along the route of bus 16X. These services will not run via Kulosaari and it will not be possible to change from the bus to the Metro at Kulosaari Metro Station. From 11.24pm, the additional services will operate along the route of bus 16.
Services on route 16 on 6 September and 13 September from 4pm
On the two nights, the zoo will exceptionally be open from 4pm to midnight.
