There will be changes to I and L train services between 28 March and 1 April due to track work on the Ring Rail Line and in Huopalahti. From Sunday to Wednesday, I trains from Helsinki will be cancelled in the evening and at night. The last I train will depart at 9.36pm. On Tuesday night, the 0.37am L train from Kirkkonummi will be replaced by a U train. Between Leppävaara and Pasila, the U train will stop at Huopalahti and Ilmala stations.
Service alterations and alternative transport links
I trains in the evening and at night 28 March to 1 April
I trains from Helsinki at 9.51pm, 10.06pm, 10.36pm, 11.06pm and 11.36pm are cancelled. The last I train from Helsinki will depart at 9.36pm. The same train will depart from Helsinki Airport via Myyrmäki and Huopalahti to Helsinki at 10.04pm.
On the main line, K trains provide alternative service between Helsinki and Hiekkaharju. All K trains from Helsinki will be operated with two-unit trains from 9.59pm to 11.2pm.
On the Ring Rail Line, passengers can use P trains for journeys from the stations between Pohjois-Haaga and Leinelä to Helsinki. The P trains will operate a normal service. Some P trains will use the track in the opposite direction due to the track work. Please listen to station announcements and see station displays for up-to-date information. AB tickets will exceptionally be accepted on journeys from stations between Pohjois-Haaga and Vantaankoski via zone C on P trains departing from Helsinki between 10.08pm and 00.18am (from Pohjois-Haaga between 10.19pm and 0.29am, from Vantaankoski between 10.29pm and 0.39am). L train from Kirkkonummi on the night of Tuesday 30 March
On Tuesday night, the 0.37am L train from Kirkkonummi will be replaced by a U train. Between Leppävaara and Pasila, the U train will stop at Huopalahti and Ilmala stations. The train will not stop at Mäkkylä, Pitäjänmäki and Valimo stations. The train will run to Leppävaara to the same timetable as the L train. From Leppävaaara, the U train will depart at 1.07am (platform 2). The train will arrive at Huopalahti at 1.10am and depart at 1.13am (platform 2). From Ilmala, the train will depart at 1.15am from platform 3, from Pasila at 1.18am from platform 10.
If you are travelling from a station to the west of Leppävaara to the intermediate stations, change to an L train going in the opposite direction at Huopalahti station. For journeys from the intermediate stations to Helsinki, use a bus. For example, bus 235N goes from Mäkkylä station to Elielinaukio.
