The bus stop area at the corner of Hiihtomäentie and Itäväylä next to the smaller entrance building at Herttoniemi Metro Station will be completed on Wednesday 4 August.
Paving works will take place between 3 August 6pm and 4 August 6am. During this time, bus routes 81 and 510 will use temporary arrival stops. Bus 510 will depart in the direction of Pasila via Siilitie Metro Station and Itäväylä. Bus 81 will use a bus stop in front of Alepa. The works will also cause noise in the vicinity of the station.
Once the works are completed, buses 81 and 510 will use the new stop area. The new stop area is built to prepare for the future renovation of the Herttoniemi station. Also other buses will use the new stops in the future.
The new bus stops will affect bus bay numbering at the station. Bus departure bays will not change.

Bus route 81
Bus stop change 3 August 6pm to 4 August 6am
The stop for bus route 81 in the direction of Kulosaari and Herttoniemi will be closed from Tuesday 3 August 6pm to Wednesday 4 August 6am due to paving works.
The bus will use a temporary stop on Hiihtomäentie, about 60 meters towards Länsi-Herttoniemi (H4969, in front of Alepa). The bus used the same stop during the recent Metro service disruption. Once the works are completed, the bus will serve the usual stop.

Trunk bus route 510
Diversion route 3 August 6pm to 4 August 6am
The terminus for trunk bus route 510 at Herttoniemi Metro Station will be closed from Tuesday 3 August 6pm to Wednesday 4 August 6am due to paving works.
The bus will use a temporary alighting stop on Itäväylä (bay 17, H4007, between the Hertsi shopping center and the metro station). Replacement buses 99V and 99M used the same stop during the recent Metro service disruption.
The bus will also serve the “Konemestarinkatu” stop on Itäväylä (H4009, eastbound buses, the stop is located next to the underpass between Susitie and Konemestarinkatu) and bay 1 at Siilitie Metro Station (H4010, on the westbound slip road of Itäväylä). These stops are only for alighting.The walking distance to the metro is shorter at Siilitie station than at Herttoniemi station.
Bus 510 will run via these stops because during the works, it will turn around at the Muuntajankatu roundabout close to Siilitie Metro Station.
The paving works will not affect the departure stop of trunk bus route 510 at Herttoniemi station. Once the works are completed, the bus will use its usual terminus.

Changes to bus bay numbering from 4 August
New bus stops will be opened in the new stop area on the Hiihtäjäntie side of the terminal and bus bay numbering at the station needs to be changed because of the new stops. There will be no changes to the numbers of bus bays used by Laajasalo and Roihuvuori bus routes.
The locations of bus bays will not change. The Journey Planner may display the new bus bay numbers slightly before the changes take effect.
Bus routes 81 and 90N
- The departure bay for bus routes 81 and 90N in the direction of Länsi-Herttoniemi will be renumbered 20. The current number is 13.
- The departure bay for bus route 81 in the direction of Herttoniemenranta will be renumbered 11. The current number is 12. The stop number will also change, the new stop number is H4991.
Bus routes 500, 510, 86N-97N
- The departure bay for bus routes 500, 510 and 86N-97N in the direction of Pasila and the Railway Square will be renumbered 18. The current number is 16.
- The departure bay for night bus routes 90A, 92N, 96N and 97N will be renumbered 19. The current number is 17.
