Bus 506, Myllypuro-Pasila-Ruskeasuo, will be rerouted to run from Ratapihantie to Nordenskiöldinkatu via Savonkatu from Monday 13 December 2021 to improve the performance and the reliability of the route.
The bus will serve the following stops along the new route: "Pasilan asema" (H2102, Pasila station), "Teollisuuskatu" (H2105), "Savonkatu" (H2104) and "Eläintarha" (H2075). The bus will no longer serve the "Pasilan asema" (H2100, H2101, Pasila station), "Palkkatilanportti" (2106, H2107) and "Eläintarha" (H2109) stops.
There have been major problems with service punctuality on the route over the autumn and the buses have failed to keep to their timetables. The route change will slightly increase walking distances, for example, to workplaces in Länsi-Pasila but on the other hand, it will significantly improve the performance of the route. Länsi-Pasila is also accessible by a number of frequently running bus services as well as by tram.
