A demonstration will be held in Helsinki city center on Friday 6 May at 12 noon. The protesters will march from Kisahalli to Narinkkatori. The demonstration is expected to attract over 1,000 participants. The demonstration will cause major disruptions and delays to public transport in downtown Helsinki.
Buses serving Kamppi bus station
Buses 63, 212 and 213 as well as U line buses U280, U455, U455A, U456, U457 and U465 will run between Töölöntulli and Kamppi via Topeliuksenkatu and Runeberginkatu from 12 noon. U line 848 will be diverted between Reijolankatu and Kamppi.
Bus U280 will be diverted between Meilahti and Kamppi. The bus will run to the Kamppi bus station via Haartmaninkatu, Topeliuksenkatu, Runeberginkatu, Arkadiankatu, Fredrikinkatu and Eteläinen Rautatiekatu.
Buses 63, U455, U455A, U456, U457 and U465 will run between Töölöntulli and Kamppi via Topeliuksenkatu, Runeberginkatu, Arkadiankatu, Fredrikinkatu and Eteläinen Rautatiekatu.
Bus 848 will be diverted between Meilahti and Kamppi via Nordenskiöldinkatu, Topeliuksenkatu, Runeberginkatu, Arkadiankatu, Fredrikinkatu and Eteläinen Rautatienkatu. The above buses will not serve Mannerheimintie between Meilahti/Töölöntuli/Reijolankatu and Pohjoinen Rautatiekatu.
Buses serving Elielinaukio
Buses running along Mannerheimintie to Elielinaukio, i.e. bus routes 40, 200, 321, 322, 332, 345, 411, 415, 118B, 421, 431, 435, 436 will run their normal routes, if possible. However, there will be delays of 15 to 20 minutes and consequently, some services will be cancelled. People travelling to Helsinki city center by these buses around midday are recommended to use commuter trains for part of their journey, where possible.
Tram services
Trams will run normally, if possible, but there may be service changes due to traffic backing up.
