Huopalahti tunnel to be closed at night between 25 July and 15 August – Bus routes 550 and 52 to be diverted

The Huopalahti tunnel will be closed between 11pm and 4am from 25 July to 1 August Sunday to Thursday as well as on Sunday night due to the installation of overhead power lines for light rail. Bus routes 550 and 52 will be diverted during the closure.

The Huopalahti tunnel will be closed from 25 July to 1 August between 11pm and 4am Sunday to Thursday and on Sunday night (29 July) due to the installation of overhead power lines for light rail. On Friday and Saturday nights as well as during the daytime the buses will run via the tunnel as usual.

During the closure, the bus stops in the tunnel will be closed and buses 550 and 52 will be diverted. The buses will run via Isonnevankuja, Isonnevantie, Haagan urheilutie and Tunnelitie to Ilkantie. Trunk bus route 550 will serve the “Angervontie” (H1668, H1669) and “Ilkantie” (H1634) stops along the diversion route and bus 52 will serve all stops along the diversion route. All buses will run via the tunnel as usual from the morning of 1 August 2022.

 

The buses will be diverted on Monday to Thursday nights starting from the following services:

  • 550 to Westendinasema: Estimated arrival time in Huopalahti at 11.04pm (from Itäkeskus at 10.32pm)
  • 550 to Itäkeskus: Estimated arrival time in Huopalahti at 11.02pm (from Westendinasema at 10.35pm)

On Sunday nights, the buses will be diverted starting from the following services:

  • 550 to Westendinasema: Estimated arrival time in Huopalahti at 11.06pm (from Itäkeskus at 10.35pm)
  • 550 to Itäkeskus: Estimated arrival time in Huopalahti at 11.06pm (from Westendinasema at 10.41pm)
