The traditional truck parade of graduating high school students will affect traffic in central Helsinki on Thursday 9 February about 12.30pm to 2pm. Tram routes 1, 2, 3 and 6 as well as bus route 22 will be diverted. There may be delays to buses 20 and 30.
The truck parade will start from Merisatama and proceed via Ehrenströmintie and Laivasillankatu to the actual parade route: Eteläranta–Pohjoisesplanadi– Lönnrotinkatu–Abrahaminkatu–Bulevardi–Eteläesplanadi–Fabianinkatu.
Diversion routes about 12.30pm to 2pm
- Tram 1 will run via Aleksanterinkatu to the Olympia Terminal, from where it will continue to its terminus on Pursimiehenkatu. The tram will not serve the section of route from Bulevardi via Fredrikinkatu to Laivurinkatu. The following stops will not be served: “Ylioppilastalo” (H0701 and H0702), “Erottaja” (H0801 and H0802), “Fredrikinkatu” (H0803 and H0804), “Iso Roobertinkatu” (H0813 and H0814), “Viiskulma” (H0815 and H0816) and “Eiran sairaala” in the direction of Käpylä (H0442).
- Tram 2 will turn around at the Market Square. The “Eteläranta” (H0432 and H0433) and “Olympiaterminaali” (H0435) stops will not be served.
- Tram 3 will run from Mannerheimintie via Aleksanterinkatu to the Katajanokka Terminal. The tram will not serve Ullanlinna, Eira and Punavuori. The following stops will not be served: “Olympiaterminaali” (H0434), “Kaivopuisto” (H0436 and H0437), “Neitsytpolku” (H0438 and H0439), “Kapteeninkatu” (H0440 and H0441), “Eiran sairaala” (H0442 and H0443), “Viiskulma” (H0815 and H0816), “Iso Roobertinkatu” (H0813 and H0814), “Fredrikinkatu” (H0803 and H0804), “Erottaja” (H0801 and H0802) and “Ylioppilastalo” (H0701 and H0702).
- Tram 6 will run via Aleksanterinkatu to the Olympia Terminal, from where it will continue to the terminus of tram 1 on Pursimiehenkatu. The tram will not serve Bulevardi, Telakkakatu and Eiranranta and the following stops will not be served: “Ylioppilastalo” (H0701 and H0702), “Erottaja” (H0801 and H0802), “Fredrikinkatu” (H0803 and H0804), “Aleksanterin teatteri” (H0805), “Hietalahdentori” (H0807 and H0808), “Telakkapuistikko” (H0830 and H0831), “Munkkisaari” (H0828 and H0829) and the terminus, “Eiranranta” (H0827).
- On bus route 22, the services from Katajaharju at 12.50pm and 1.20pm as well as services from Fredrikintori at 1.20pm and 1.50pm will run to Hietalahti. The terminus will be the “Ruoholahdenranta” stop (H1157). The stop is next to the hotel. The following stops will not be served: “Hietalahti” (H1167), “Hietalahdentori” (H0807 and H1169), “Fredrikinkatu” (H1005), “Iso Roobertinkatu” (H1170 and H0813) and the terminus in Punavuori, “Fredrikintori” (H1173).
