Routes 565/B, Myyrmäki-Jupperi-Jorvi-Espoon keskus, will be replaced by trunk bus route 530. Currently, the stops served by route 565 are located in Espoontori in Espoon keskus. However, the stops served by trunk bus 530 are situated north of the train tracks, on Kirkkojärventie. In addition, routes 134 and 136 will be withdrawn in August 2023, and the new trunk bus route 530 will replace the routes between Espoon keskus and Matinkylä. The trunk bus route 530 will provide a frequent service with extensive operating hours between Matinkylä, Finnoo and Espoon keskus. Moreover, the route will provide a direct service via Jorvi all the way to Myyrmäki.
As part of the changes, the northern terminus of bus 531 will be relocated from Jorvi to Espoo station. The bus will also run along a different route from Finnoontie via Saarniraivio to Espoon keskus. The new route is: Hösmärintie–Sunantie–Siltakatu. The purpose of the route change is to partially replace routes 134 and 136 that will no longer serve Saarniraivio, Kiltakallio and Suvela in the direction of Matinkylä. Bus route 224 will be rerouted to run from Tuomarila to Espoon keskus via Suna. The new route is: Tuomarilantie–Sunankaari–Sunanniityntie–Sunantie. In addition, a new route version, 224B, will be introduced. The new route version will provide a service between Kauniainen, Suna, Espoon keskus and Tuomarila.
Trunk bus 530 will not serve all the stops that buses 565, 565B, 134 and 136 have served in the past. However, there are still other buses that continue to serve the stops that trunk bus 530 will not serve, meaning that no stop will be closed.
The changes are part of a larger project to modify bus routes in Espoo.
