Changes to bus stops from 5 September
The “Töölön kisahalli” stop (H1915) will be relocated towards the tram tracks due to changes to traffic arrangements. The adjacent “Töölön kisahalli” stop (H1913) will be closed and all buses will serve the temporary stop (H1915). The stop will be served by northbound buses, i.e. buses running along Mannerheimintie from the direction of the city center.
The “Kansaneläkelaitos” bus stop (H1916) will be relocated about 50 meters forward in the direction of travel and towards the tram tracks. The stop is served by buses in the direction of the city center.
The changes will remain in place until further notice.
No changes to the routes of bus services
Most of the bus services that run along Mannerheimintie will follow their normal routes despite changes to traffic arrangements caused by the work. Some buses have been diverted to run via Runeberginkatu since spring 2023 to mitigate congestion on Mannerheimitie. The diversions will remain in place until the work is completed.
Bus diversions in place:
- Bus 400 runs via Topeliuksenkatu, Runeberginkatu and Fredrikinkatu. The terminus is in Kamppi.
- Bus 63 runs via Topeliuksenkatu, Runeberginkatu and Fredrikinkatu.
- Buses 212 and 213(N)n run via Haartmaninkatu, Topeliuksenkatu, Runeberginkatu and Fredrikinkatu.
There will also be changes to tram routes from 2 September. Read more about the changes in our service update hsl.fi/en/tramsautumn2024.
Information about the arrangements
The renovation of Mannerheimintie entails replacing the 100-year-old underground utility supplies and street surface structures. Pedestrian and cycle paths will be upgraded and new tram tracks will be installed. The second phase of the renovation (between Runeberginkatu and Reijolankatu) will begin in September. The renovation will affect tram and bus services until late 2025.
