Changes to accessible routes and nighttime entrances at Helsinki Central Railway Station from 12 March

Some access routes will be closed at the Helsinki Central Railway Station starting Wednesday 12 March due to VR's development project. The accessible entrance to the station building and platforms 4–11 and the entrance to platforms 4–11 at night from Elielieaukio, Postikatu, and Asema-aukio will be closed. The entrance to the station hall from the end of platforms 9–11 will also be closed. The routes and entrances are expected to reopen in October.

During the work, an accessible route to the train platforms will be via the northern end of the station, either from the Elielinaukio side or the National Theatre side of the station, i.e., via Läntinen teatterikuja and Kaisaniemenpuisto. Access to the train platforms will be only via the northern end of the station also at night (2am–5am).

During the daytime and at night until 2am, you can access the platforms through the station building from all sides of the station, but the routes via the station building are not accessible.
