Buses are likely to be very crowded during the industrial action. We recommend passengers to allow extra time for their journeys and if possible, to use ride sharing, telecommute or cycle to work. Some 200,000 people travel daily by train in the HSL area and during the industrial action, all these people need alternative modes of travel.
HSL will have staff at key stations to advice passengers on alternative public transport links.
Transport links to Helsinki Airport
HSL bus routes 415, 561, 562, 615 and 617 as well as the Finnair City Bus (for timetables, see finnair.fi) serve the airport. The route of bus 562 is temporarily extended to the airport.
- Bus 562 continues to the airport along Lentoasemantie after the "Toinen savu" bus stop.

At the airport, bus 562 leaves from T1 bay 12 and T2 bay 25 immediately after the bus has arrived. From Aviapolis to Tikkurila/Mellunmäki the bus runs as usual.
Please note! On Tuesday morning 15 August, bus 615 to Helsinki Airport was very crowded. Bus 617 from Hakaniemi to Helsinki Airport is less crowded and we advice you to use it, if possible. The buses leave from bay 22. Please buy your ticket in advance at the airport.
- Bus 617 leaves from bay 22 at the northern end of the Hakaniemi Market Square on Sörnäisten rantatie, between Hakaniemen torikatuu and Viherniemenkatu. Bus 615 uses bay 14 on Siltasaarenkatu in Hakaniemi. At the airport, buses 615 and 617 serve T1 bay 12 and T2 bay 25.
