From 15 August, internal single tickets purchased on HSL Mobile ticket app will cost 2.90 euros.
The price of SMS tickets will rise on Monday 15 August, when HSL transport services switch to autumn timetables. At the same time, the price of HSL Mobile tickets wil decrease. After the price changes, Helsinki internal mobile tickets and SMS tickets will both cost 2.90 euros. During daytime, mobile and SMS tickets are 10 per cent cheaper than internal single tickets purchased from a driver or conductor, which cost 3.20 euros. At night time, mobile and SMS tickets cost the same as normal night-time single tickets.
You can purchase HSL mobile tickets on the free HSL Mobile ticket app on your smart phone. HSL Mobile ticket is a single ticket valid on all modes of transport. There are tickets for all HSL travel zones. After the price change, all internal mobile tickets cost 2.90 euros, regional and two-zone extended regional tickets 5 euros. The tickets are valid for 80 minutes. Three-zone extended regional tickets cost 7.20 euros and are valid for 100 minutes.
SMS tickets are ordered via SMS and they are valid for 60 minutes from the moment of purchase. SMS tickets can be used only within Helsinki on trams, the Metro, Suomenlinna ferry, commuter trains, eastern Metro feeder services and on trunk route 560. The tickets are charged to the customer’s phone bill.
New features for HSL Mobile tickets
“Payment by card will be introduced during autumn 2016. This will allow the users of employer-subsidized commuter tickets and tourists to purchase mobile tickets,” says HSL Director of Passenger Services Department Pirkko Lento.
