Take public transport to the World Figure Skating Championships venue

HSL will add extra train units after the World Figure Skating Championships evening sessions 29 March-2 April. HSL is one of the official partner of the World Figure Skating Championships 2017. The event is expected to attract 65,000 spectators. HSL has put together last minutes tips on how to get to the host venue and recommends spectators to use public transport. The host venue, Hartwal Arena, is conveniently accessible by train, bus and tram (“Messukeskus” stop).

HSL’s upgraded Journey Planner provides you with public transport routes and timetables. Add www.reittiopas.fi to the home screen of your smartphone or other device to use is like an app. When you enable location services, the planner shows you public transport services from stops close to you, as well as their routes and timetables.

You can also download HSL's Mobile ticket app to buy single tickets conveniently to your mobile phone. You can download the free app to any Android, iPhone and Windows devices. HSL Mobile ticket is a single ticket valid on all modes of transport. There are tickets for all HSL travel zones. You can pay your tickets with Visa or MasterCard or have them charged to your phone bill. Single tickets are also available on trains, from ticket machines, as well as from bus and tram drivers.

Championships tickets at a discounted rate for HSL’s loyal customers

HSL’s loyal customers can now buy tickets to certain competitions at a 20% discount at www.hsl.fi/en/customer-benefits. The offer is valid 27 March -2 April, or as long as there are tickets available.

The World Figure Skating Championships are the most significant sports event of the centenary year of Finland’s independence in the Helsinki metropolitan area. HSL has supported the event by granting free regional tickets to all competitors, officials and volunteers.
