New neighborhood routes to replace service routes in Espoo and Kauniainen from 15 August 2016

Espoo service routes will be replaced by new neighborhood routes on 15 August, when HSL transport services switch to winter timetables. This means the old routes with route numbers beginning with “P” will be withdrawn. The new neighborhood routes have three-digit route numbers.

The neighborhood routes will serve Tapiola (routes 116, 117 and 119), Matinkylä and Olari (routes 137 and 138), Espoonlahti (148 and 149), Espoon keskus and Kauklahti (168 and 169), Leppävaara (207 and 229) and Kauniainen (232).

The routes and timetables have been planned to serve, in particular, the needs of senior citizens but everyone is welcome to ride the buses.  The services will operate on all weekdays and their routes cover key services in each area. The buses accept regular HSL tickets.

In addition to regular bus stops, the buses can stop at other locations, as long as it is safe to do so.

You can read more about the new neighborhood routes at HSL’s website. You can also view the routes and timetables in the Journey Planner.
