Crossing points

New kind of crossing points have appeared along the light rail line route. The crossing points differ from regular pedestrian crossings. Crossing points are designated crossings marked with road markings where pedestrians and cyclists must always give way to approaching light rail vehicles.

What are crossing points?

Crossing points are places where pedestrians cross light rail tracks and where trams have priority over pedestrians. In other words, pedestrians and cyclists must always give way to trams.

Along the light rail line route, crossing points go over the tracks. There is a normal pedestrian crossing on both sides of the tracks. There are no pedestrian crossing signs or road markings at the crossing points.

How to recognize crossing points

The crossing points can be identified by their brown pavement. There is a white tram icon in the middle of the tracks. Crossing points and stops are accessible. Various tactile paving areas ensure the safe passage of visually impaired people at stops and crossing points.
