Half of daytime services to run to Kivenlahti

All metro services will not run to Kivenlahti. Half of daytime services will run to Kivenlahti, seven days a week. The other half of daytime services will run to Tapiola.

 

 

All trains run to Kivenlahti in the evenings and on Saturday mornings

All trains will run to Kivenlahti everyday about 8.30pm to 11.30pm as well as on Saturday mornings. At all other times, every other train will run to Kivenlahti.

Service frequency

  • Monday to Friday at peak times from Matinkylä to Kivenlahti every 6 minutes
  • During the daytime and on Saturdays from Matinkylä to Kivenlahti every 7.5 minutes
  • On Sundays, from Matinkylä to Kivenlahti every 15 minutes until about 9am, every 10 minutes during the daytime 
  • In the evening about 8.30pm to 11.30pm and on Saturday mornings every 7.5 minutes between Kivenlahti and Itäkeskus

• Kivenlahti–Matinkylä: 10 min
• Kivenlahti–Tapiola: 15 min
• Kivenlahti–Rautatientori: 30 min
• Kivenlahti–Hakaniemi: 33 min
• Kivenlahti–Itäkeskus: 45 min
• Kivenlahti–Mellunmäki: 51-56 min
• Kivenlahti–Vuosaari: 51 min

Three types of trains

Three different types of trains are used to operate the metro services. The age difference between the oldest and newest trains is almost forty years.
