Day tickets are a good option for part-time commuters

Day tickets are an option worth considering for part-time commuters and those who travel more on weekends.

Day tickets are a good option if you, for example, work from the office a few days a week and don’t want a season ticket.

A day ticket is more economical than single tickets if you make more than two journeys during a day. A one-day adult AB ticket costs 8 euros, while an AB single ticket purchased using the HSL app costs 2.80 euros.

For weekend travel, you can buy a two-day ticket, which allows you to travel as much as you like for 48 hours. A two-day adult AB ticket costs 12 euros. If you make five or more journeys, a two-day ticket is cheaper than AB single tickets.

You can buy day tickets for 1-7 days for all zones, A, B, C and D, using the free HSL app available from smartphones. You can set the start date and time for the ticket when you purchase.

You can also buy a day ticket in advance from a sales or service point or from the large HSL ticket machines. There are tickets for all zones, ABCD. The tickets are loaded on disposable cards.

Advance purchase tickets are valid from the time you show the card to a card reader at the start of your first journey. The tickets must be used within two years from the moment of purchase.
