The renovation will affect public transport routes and timetables until the end of 2025. Traffic arrangements will change as the works progress. The Journey Planner has already been updated with the changes to routes and timetables taking effect on 6 March.
Changes to bus routes from 6 March
Bus routes 63, 212, 213 and 400 will be diverted to run via Runeberginkatu in order to alleviate congestion on Mannerheimintie. Mannerheimintie will be made one-way in both directions for the duration of the works.
Other bus routes will continue to run along Mannerheimintie. There will be changes to the timetables for routes 40, 200, 300, 321, 345(N) and 431(N) because the works are likely to cause delays to the buses. Check the new timetables in the Journey Planner or see the PDF timetables.

Information about the arrangements
The renovation of Mannerheimintie will be carried out in two phases. In the first phase, works will be carried out on the section between Postikatu and Runeberginkatu, after which the works will move to the section between Runeberginkatu and Reijolankatu. The first phase is expected to be completed in autumn 2024. The goal is for the works to be completed by the end of 2025. There will be changes to public transport routes as the works progress.
The project includes improvements to public transport: for example, 2.6km of new tram tracks will be built. Accessibility of stops will be improved but the stops will remain approximately at the current locations.
Journey times in the area may increase. We encourage people to switch from car to public transport to alleviate congestion in the area.
