Two new bus routes, 166K and 242, will start in the Kauklahti area on Monday 10 January 2022.
Bus 166K will run from Bassenkylä via Kauklahti station and Lasihytti to Lasilaakso every 30 minutes at peak times.
The bus will provide a welcome public transport link to Bassenkylä and Hyttimestarintie. Services in Lasilaakso will double at peak times.
Passengers going to Lasilaakso should note that bus 166K leaves from bay 12, stop E5134, on the other side of the street at the station. I.e. it does not leave from the same stop as bus 166. This is because bus 166K runs to Lasilaakso via Vantinportti and Lasihytti.
- On weekday afternoons between 3pm and 6pm, E trains from Helsinki link with bus 166 (from bay 11) via Hansavalkamanaukio to Lasilaakso adn U trains link with bus 166K (from bay 12) via Lasihytti to Lasilaakso.

Bus 242 will run from Bassenkylä via Kauklahti station to Espoon keskus in the early morning and evenings Monday to Friday as well as on weekends. It will replace the withdrawn routes 118 and 213N between Espoon keskus and Kauklahti.
