Conductors will continue to serve train passengers, both on board and in the platform area. They will patrol the trains in pairs helping and advising passengers and checking passengers’ tickets. Conductors will walk through one train and then move to another. In the evening and at night, there will be conductors on all trains.
There will be extra staff at stations assisting passengers purchase tickets in particular at peak times 14-21 June. HSL and VR are continuously developing ticket options for various travel needs. Both HSL and VR are expanding their ticket machine networks during the summer and autumn.
HSL’s tickets are available via a mobile app, on Travel Card, as well as from ticket machines, HSL service points and R-kiosks. New advance purchase single tickets will be on sale at kiosks from 19 June. The tickets are validated at card readers on board trains and they are valid from the first use.
VR’s Commuter mobile app allows passengers to easily buy tickets anytime, anywhere. From Wednesday 14 June, new digital multi-trip and season tickets will be available on VR Commuter application and online at beta.vr.fi.
