The changes are due to work on street lights on Pasilankatu. In addition, improvement work will be carried out on tram overhead wires and the Ilmalantori terminus.
Diversion routes 20 May–2 June
Tram 9 and night tram 9N will not run between Pasila train station and Ilmala. The tram will run via Messukeskus to Pasila train station, from where it will depart back to Kallio and the West Terminal from bay 43 (H0621). The stop is on Ratapihantie, about 200 meters from the Pasilansilta tram stops. Tram 9 will not serve the stop on Pasilansilta.
Buses 23, 59 and 518 run to Ilmala from Pasila station. The buses leave from bay 36 on Pasilansilta. The bus stops are on Radiokatu and Pasilankatu close to tram stops. See the Journey Planner for detailed information.
The route of tram 2 will not change but it will terminate at Pasila station instead of Messukeskus. The terminus will be bay (H0612) on Ratapihantie. The change is made because tram 9 cannot run past the Messukeskus tram stop if there is another tram at the stop. Tram 2 will also serve its usual stop at Pasila station on Pasilansilta.
The temporary stops are next to each other on Ratapihantie. The stop for tram 9 is first in the direction of travel, and the stop for tram 2 is after that.
