Buy your ticket in advance – a wealth of events around Helsinki and Vantaa over the coming weekend

There will be a range of events taking place this weekend around the capital region. The events are expected to attract large numbers of visitors. For example, up to 30,000 people are expected to attend the Rockfest in Vehkala, Vantaa on Friday 9 June. On the same even, tens of thousands of spectators are expected to flock to the Kaivopuisto Air Show in Helsinki. Event goers are advised to buy their tickets in advance and to allow extra time for their journeys.

Buy your ticket in advance

You can buy your ticket in advance in many place. For example, all R-kiosks in the capital region load HSL Travel Cards and sell day tickets. Use the sales point search to find a ticket sales point near you. If you have a Travel Card, top it up with a season ticket or value in advance. For example, if you are traveling from Helsinki to the Rockfest in Vantaa, you need a regional ticket. A day ticket is a good option if you plan to make several journeys during one or several days and/or travel during night fare hours. Diversions and additional services on Friday 9 June

A parade organized by the Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners wil cause diversions and delays to traffic from 1.15pm around the Central Railway Station and Mannerheimintie. Diversions to bus routes on Friday 9 June due to a parade

Tens of thousands of people are expected to flock to the Kaivopuisto Air Show between 5pm and 9pm. Event goers are advised to buy their tickets in advance and to allow extra time for their journeys. Additional services to the Kaivopuisto Air Show

The Junior Volleyball Tournament, Power Cup, will be held in Myyrmäki, Vantaa 9-11 June. HSL is one of the official partners of the event and will provide additional services to the event.

Diversions on Saturday 10 June

Helsinki Samba Carnaval will cause diversions to tram routes in downtown Helsinki.

Helsinki Half Marathon will cause diversions.

Sideways festival will take place at Teurastamo close to Sörnäinen and Kalasatama Metro Stations 9-10 June. Festival goers are adviced to allow extra time for their journeys and buy tickets in advance.
