We will be introducing improvements to services in 2024

In 2024, we are investing an unprecedented amount of funding into improving public transport. We will improve services on many routes and modes of transport. The next improvements to services will take effect on 2 April 2024.

More frequent services

In April 2024, the service frequency of A trains will increase, as well as the service frequency of two bus routes. Later in the year, we will also improve train and tram schedules and services on many other bus routes. The improvements will mostly affect evening and weekend services. The aim is to facilitate leisure journeys.

Changes from 2 April 2024

In April, the service frequency of A trains and two bus routes will increase. I and P trains will start running more frequently between Helsinki, Myyrmäki and Helsinki Airport. In addition, the operating hours of coastal line trains will increase. I and P trains will operate a reduced service between Helsinki, Tikkurila and Helsinki Airport and K trains will operate a reduced service between Helsinki and Kerava from 2 April until late October due to track work in Tikkurila.

More changes later in 2024

The next major improvements to services will take effect in August. There will be changes to train, tram and bus services. However, there will also be major service changes due to a number of different works being carried out and will be providing replacement services. The works will affect, in particular, metro and train services.
