HSL LOOKS

HSL LOOKS celebrates the diversity of public transport and urban culture. The aim of the HSL LOOKS upcycle collection, styled by Minttu Vesala and created by Finnish designers, is to highlight that everyone is welcome on public transport just as they are.

The collection draws inspiration from everyday life on public transport, including the unique styles, diverse people and lost property. The collection featured in the show has been created from recycled materials.

The HSL LOOKS collection draws inspiration from belongings left behind on public transport

Thousands of items are left behind on public transport vehicles each year. In fact, almost 34,000 items were found last year alone. The lost items range from everyday belongings, such as headphones and beanies, to more unusual items, such as a wedding dress and a turkey.

The HSL LOOKS collection draws inspiration from the styles of Helsinki residents and lost items found on public transport over the years. The collection has been created in cooperation with Vesala and emerging Finnish designers, such as Anni Salonen, Petra Lehtinen, Jim Bergström, Antti Satukangas, Roope Tanska and Lotto Denim Repair. In addition, the students of Stadin AO (Helsinki Vocational College) have taken part in creating the collection.

Left your purse on a tram or your bag on a bus?

If you have left something on a bus, tram, the Metro, commuter train, in a citybike basket or on the Suomenlinna ferry, please contact Lost & Found Finland.

As it may take a day or two for your lost item to be found and delivered to the lost property office, we recommend contacting the office no sooner than two days after you lost the item.
