In September, we overhauled ticket purchasing and usage, as well as our backend systems. Following the overhaul, single and day tickets sold as cardboard cards at sales and service points were replaced by QR code tickets.
If you still have these cardboard cards, please note that they can be used only until 31 December. Starting 1 January 2026, you can exchange unused disposable cardboards card for new tickets at HSL’s service point or a municipal service point. The disposable cardboard cards will be exchanged for tickets in the HSL app or new QR code tickets in paper form that you show to a card reader. No service fee will be charged for the exchange.
More information about exchanging single cardboard cards used by companies is on our page for corporate users.

The sale of disposable cardboard cards ended on 21 September.

Single and day tickets sold at sales and service points now have a QR code. To activate the ticket, show it to a card reader with the QR code facing up.
