Additional I train services at night on 22-24 July due to Tikkurila Festival

There will be additional I train services on the nights of Thursday 22 July, Friday 23 July and Saturday 24 July due to Tikkurila Festival. In addition, other main line trains will have extra carriages around the festival closing times. Information about the trains is also available in the Journey Planner.

There will be additional I train services on the nights of Thursday 22 July, Friday 23 July and Saturday 24 July due to Tikkurila Festival. In addition, other main line trains will have extra carriages around the festival closing times.

The festival venue is on Urheilutie and the closest station served by I, P, K and T trains is Hiekkaharju. The festival venue is about a three minutes walk from the station (exit the station at its southern end). The venue is about a 15-minute walk from Tikkurila station. In addition to the trains serving Hiekkaharju station, Tikkurila station is served by R and Z trains in the direction of Helsinki and Kerava.

Please note that bus route 735 will not run via Urheilutie and Hiekkaharju station during the event. The buses will run from Kielotie directly to Valkoisenlähteentie between 19 July and 26 July. Read more in a separate release.

Additional train services

On the nights of 22, 23 and 24 July, there will be additional I trains form Helsinki at 0.05am, 0.35am and 1.05am. The trains will stop at all stations  served by I trains.

On the night of Thursday 22 July, the trains will stop at Tikkurila station for nine minutes longer than usual, i.e. they will arrive at Tikkurila station at  0.24am, 0.54am and 1.24am and depart at 0.34am, 1.04am and 1.34am. The trains will depart from Hiekkaharju to Helsinki Airport at 0.36am, 1.06am and 1.36am.

On the nights of Friday 23 July ad Saturdsy 24 July, the additional trains will depart from Tikkurila at 0.24am, 0.55am and 1.25am. The trains will depart from Hiekkaharju at 0.27am, 0.57am and 1.27am.
