Helsinki City Running Day will be held on Saturday 13 May. The event will feature several different competitions. The runners will start off near the Olympic Stadium, which means that the changes to traffic arrangements will be put in place near the stadium already on Friday evening, 12 May at 5pm. The special traffic arrangements will be in place until Satuday evening at 8pm. As a result, the buses that would normally depart from Elielinaukio will depart from Kamppi between 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
Diversion routes on Friday 12 May from 4pm
Bus route 502
From Friday at 4pm, bus 502 will run along the following route: Helsinginkatu – Runeberginkatu – Ruusulankatu – Eino Leinon katu. The diversion route will be in place until Saturday at 9.15am and also on Saturday between 3.30pm and 8pm.
The bus will not serve the “Töölön Kisahalli” stops (H2064 and H2065). On the diversion route, the bus will serve the replacement stops “Ooppera” (H2062 and H2185) on Helsinginkatu.

Elielinaukio bus services from Kamppi
Töölönlahdenkatu is closed to traffic from 2.20pm to 3.30pm.
While Elielinaukio is closed, trunk bus routes 200 and 300 and neighborhood bus routes 345 and 431 will run to the Kamppi bus terminal between 2pm and 3.30pm. There are shorter disruptions to services from 9.30am to 9.45am and from 10.40am to 12.45am.
In Kamppi, the buses will depart from the following bays:
- Route 200: bay 44
- Route 300: bay 42
- Route 345: bay 49
- Route 431: bay 46
Trunk bus route 40 will not run to the terminal but use the “Postitalo” stop (H2038) on Postikatu as its terminus and departure stop.
Bus route 502
The diversion route for bus 502 via the Opera will be in place until Saturday at 9.15am, after which the bus will start serving a longer diversion route. The longer diversion route will be in place until 3.30pm, after which the bus will again start serving the previously mentioned diversion route via the Opera until at 8pm.
On Saturday from 9.30am to 3.20pm, route 502 will run via Eläintarha and Töölön tulli along the following route: Helsinginkatu – Vauhtitie – Nordenskiöldinkatu – Reijolankatu – Mannerheimintie – Tukholmankatu.
The bus will not serve the stops “Töölön Kisahalli” (H2064 and H2065), “Ratikkamuseo” (H1328 and H1329), “Linnankoskenkatu” (H1317), “Kirjailijanpuisto” (H1318), “Naistenklinikka” (H1320 and H1321) and “Haartmaninkatu” (H1322 and H1323). The bus will serve all the stops along the diversion route.

Buses routes 280, 500 and 510
Buses 280, 500 and 510 will not serve the “Munkkiniemen aukio” stop (H1388) between 10am and 5pm. As replacement stops, buses 280 and 500 will use the “Munkkiniemen aukio” (H1390) stop and bus 510 the “Munkkiniemen aukio” (H1500) stop.
