The new Ruskeasuo depot will open on Wednesday 20 November. Trams will start using the new depot in phases. From Tuesday 3 December, there will be no tram services from the Koskela depot. In the future, trams will run from Ruskeasuo along Mannerheimintie.
This means that trams will no longer serve Hämeentie between the Kumpula campus and Sumatrantie. In addition, trams to/from the depot will not run via Sturenkatu. Only tram 10, which is on a diversion, will serve Sturenkatu.
The Koskela depot will be closed for renovation. The renovation will take several years to complete. The depot will reopen once the renovation is complete.
