Bus routes running via Kirkkonummentie to be diverted in Kirkkonummi city center from 26 June

Updated on 1 August: The diversion route from the direction of Gesterby will be extended starting 5 August. There will be no changes to the stops served. Bus routes 171/Z, 173/N, 181, 183, 184, 901K, 902K, 903K, 904, 905, 907 and 908/K running via Kirkkonummentie will be diverted in Kirkkonummi city center until the end of the year.

Kirkkonummentie was closed to vehicle traffic between Vanha Rantatie and Överbyntie in June. As a result, the “Kirkkotallintie” (Ki0550) stop was closed and the buses started serving the “Urheilupuisto” (Ki1012) stop, located on a temporary road built between the Urheilupuisto parking area and the football field.

The stop is served by bus routes 171 and 171Z towards Kirkkonummi, 173 and 173N towards Upinniemi, 184 towards Siuntio, 903K towards Hila and Kirkkonummi, 907 towards Veikkola and 908 towards Kaislampi.

The diversion also applies to bus routes 181, 901K, 902K, 904, 905 and 908K that only operate during the school year. These buses will begin operating in August, and they will serve the “Urheilupuisto” (Ki1012) stop.

The diversion route to be extended, no changes to stops

Starting 5 August, buses coming from the direction of Gesterby will run to the southern roundabout on Kirkkonummentie and turn around there before continuing along Vanha Rantatie to Kauklahti, Kamppi, Masala or Matinkylä. The route change will not affect the stops served.

Bus routes 171 and 171Z and 173Z towards Matinkylä, 173N towards Kamppi and 911 towards Kauklahti serve the “Kirkkotallintie” (Ki0552) stop on Vanha Rantatie. Bus routes 171 and 173 towards Matinkylä run to the “Kirkkotalli” (Ki0552) stop via two roundabouts.

The diversion is due to street work and is expected to be in place until the end of the year.
