Changes to train timetables from Monday, 11 August

The timetables for commuter trains A, L, Y, P, K, R, T and Z will change on Monday, 11 August. A, L and Y trains will operate more frequently, while R and T trains will resume their normal timetables.

A trains, Helsinki-Leppävaara 

A trains will operate more frequently on Saturdays. They will run every 15 minutes approximately between 8.30am and 10.30am and every 10 minutes between 10.30am and 6pm.

L trains, Helsinki-Kirkkonummi 

Two new L train services will be introduced on Friday and Saturday nights, departing from Kirkkonummi at 1.07am and 2.07am starting Friday, 8 August. L trains will run every 30 minutes from Kirkkonummi until 2.37am.  

Y trains, Helsinki-Siuntio 

The following new weekday services will be introduced:

  • From Helsinki at 7.52am and 2.23pm  
  • From Siuntio at 9.01am and 3.24pm 

The 12.23pm service from Helsinki and 1.24pm service from Siuntio will be withdrawn and replaced by bus services between Kirkkonummi and Siuntio.

P train, Helsinki-Airport-Helsinki, and K trains, Kerava-Helsinki 

There will be minor changes to the morning timetables of P and K trains starting 11 August, to improve transfer connections and provide more consistent headways on the main line. See the new timetables in the Journey Planner.

R and T trains, Helsinki-Riihimäki 

R and T trains will resume their normal timetables, and D trains will resume operating. Additionally, R and T trains to Helsinki will once again use platform 1 at Ainola station starting 11 August.

Z trains, Helsinki-Lahti 

A new Z train service will be introduced, departing from Lahti at 4.22am. The 0.24am Z train from Lahti will operate only on Friday and Saturday nights.
