Bus routes 16 and 86N to be diverted in Kulosaari from 2 February

Bus routes 16 and 86N will be diverted in Kulosaari in the direction of the Railway Square from Monday, 2 February. The diversion is due to the renovation of the Hopeasalmentie bridge, which is estimated to affect bus services until October 2026.

The bus routes will only be diverted in the direction of the Railway Square, meaning that they will run as usual towards Kulosaari.

Bus route 16

The bus will run via Ståhlbergintie, Kyösti Kallion tie and Risto Rytin tie to Itäväylä and then continue towards Helsinki city center. The bus will not serve Svinhufvudintie, Tupasaarentie, a section of Risto Rytin tie and Kulosaarentie. 

The bus will not serve the following stops:

  • Kulosaari (M), bay 12 (H4025)
  • Tupasaarentie (H4022)
  • Risto Rytin tie (H4020)
  • Lars Sonckin tie (H4018)
  • Kalliokaivonmäki (H4016)
  • Marsalkantie (H4014)
  • Hopeasalmenranta (H4012)

Replacement stops:

If you are travelling from Mustikkamaa and wish to transfer to the Metro, we advise to use the Kalasatama/Itäväylä (bay 21/H2553) stop in Kalasatama.

Bus route 86N

The bus will run along Itäväylä directly from Herttoniemi to Kalasatama via Kulosaari. The bus will not run via Kipparlahdensilmukka, Kulosaaren puistotie, Tupasaarentie, Risto Rytin tie and Kulosaarentie.

The bus will not serve the following stops:

  • Kipparlahti (H4024)
  • Rantatöyry (H4051)
  • Tupasaarentie (H4022)
  • Risto Rytin tie (H4020)
  • Lars Sonckin tie (H4018)
  • Kalliokaivonmäki (H4016)
  • Marsalkantie (H4014)
  • Hopeasalmenranta (H4012)
