Changes to H train timetables from 4 May 2026

Starting Monday 4 May, H trains will operate daily between Helsinki and Hanko, with additional services around midday and in the evening. At the same time, there will be timetable changes and service disruptions due to track works. HSL tickets are valid on trains within the HSL area.

Starting Monday 4 May, H trains will operate twice a day between Helsinki and Hanko, around midday and in the evening. The change is based on a contract between VR and the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom.

HSL tickets are valid on trains operating between Helsinki and Siuntio, that is, within the HSL area. H trains stop at Pasila, Leppävaara, Espoon keskus, Kirkkonummi and Siuntio.

The new services:

  • From Helsinki at 10.08am → from Hanko at 10.37am → to Helsinki at 11.54am
  • From Helsinki at 8.53pm (daily)
  • From Hanko at 9.18pm → from Siuntio at 10.41pm → to Helsinki
The 9.12pm service from Siuntio to Helsinki will be withdrawn.

Service disruptions:

  • During the track works on weekends in May, H trains will run only between Kirkkonummi and Hanko, not to Helsinki.
  • During the longer service disruption from 22 June to 26 July caused by the Espoo City Rail Link project, H trains will operate only between Karjaa and Hanko, not within the HSL area.
