Bus routes 24 and 25 to be diverted in Taka-Töölö from 1 June

Bus routes 24 and 25 will be diverted in Taka-Töölö from Monday, 1 June. There will also be changes to timetables. Linnankoskenkatu will be closed to through traffic due to tramway construction.

Bus routes 24 and 25 will switch to summer timetables on 1 June, at the same time as the diversions take effect.

The buses are expected to resume their normal routes on 10 August.

Diversion route of bus 24

Towards Kamppi, bus 24 will run via Merikannontie. A temporary stop, “Sibeliuksen puisto” (H1228), will be opened on Merikannontie near the Kesäkatu junction.

Linnankoskenkatu and Mechelininkatu will not be served. This means that the bus will not serve the following stops: "Lastenlinna" (H1290), "Kajanuksenkatu" (H1288), "Rajasaarentie" (H1286), "Sibeliuksen puisto" (H1284) and "Taivallahti" (H1282).

Towards Seurasaari, bus 24 will run from Mechelininkatu via Topeliuksenkatu, Haartmaninkatu, Paciuksenkatu, Ramsaynranta, Meilahdentie and Tamminiementie. The bus will not serve the following stops: "Kajanuksenkatu" (H1287), "Lastenlinna" (H1289), "Seurasaarentie" (H1291), "Humallahti" (H1293), "Mäntyniemi" (H1295), "Ruutikellarit" (H1297) and "Heikinniementie" (H1299).

Diversion route of bus 25

Bus 25 will run in both directions via Topeliuksenkatu, Haartmaninkatu and Tukholmankatu.

The bus will not serve the following stops: "Kajanuksenkatu" (H1287 and H1288), "Lastenlinna" (H1289 and H1290), "Seurasaarentie" (H1291 and H1292) and "Tukholmankatu" (H1359 and H1360).

Western Helsinki tram network to be renewed

The West Helsinki Light Rail project is an urban development project that includes building and upgrading the tram network, upgrading cycle paths, replacing municipal infrastructure, and changes to the street environment.
