Bus 533 to resume its normal route in Finnoo and to start running via Sepänkallio from 10 August

The diversion route of bus 533 at Finnoo Metro Station will end on 10 August when Meritie and the temporary stops on Meritie open. At the same time, the bus will be rerouted between Suurpelto and Kauniainen via the new Sepänkallio residential area and will no longer run via Ring II and Nihtisilta. Bus route 520 will continue to provide service between Matinkylä, Olari, Suurpelto and Nihtisilta, and additional peak-hour services will be added on the route from 10 August.

Route change between Suurpelto and Kauniainen from 10 August

Bus route 533 will start serving the new Sepänkallio residential area from Monday 10 August. The bus will provide connections from Sepänkallio to both Matinkylä Metro Station and Kauniainen train station.
 
The route change is being introduced because the furthest new residential blocks in Sepänkallio would otherwise be about 700 meters from the nearest stop currently served by bus 549.
 
From Matinkylä, bus 533 will follow its current route as far as Henttaanaukio, then continue via Lillhemtintie, Storhemtintie, Kyläsepäntie, Stensintie and Gresantie. The bus will then rejoin its current route towards Järvenperä from the "Kauniaistentie" stops onwards.
 
As a result, bus 533 will no longer run via Ring II and Nihtisilta. Bus route 520 will continue to provide service between Suurpelto and Nihtisilta, and additional peak-hour services will be added on the route from 10 August. Bus 520 also serves Matinkylä Metro Station and Olari.

The "Viistokuja" (E3318) and "Lukusilta" (E2444) stops will be completely closed as they are served only by bus 533. 

The closest stop to "Viistokuja" is the "Henttaanaukio" (E3307) stop, located 180 meters away. The closest stop to "Lukusilta" is the "Lukusolmu" (E2443) stop on Ring II, located 300 meters away.

Route change at Finnoo Metro Station from 10 August

As Meritie reopens, bus 533 will no longer run via Kaitaantie and Syvänsalmenkatu. The bus has been diverted via Syvänsalmenkatu because Meritie has been closed to traffic due to construction work. 

Finishing works on Meritie near the station entrance will continue until the end of September. During the works, the "Meritie" stops (bays 21 and 22) will be temporarily located at the junction of Hylkeenpyytäjäntie, Meritie and Hyljemäenportti. The new main entrance to the station from Meritie will also open later in the autumn.

We will provide further information on the opening of the station entrance and the relocation of the bus bays to their permanent locations later in the autumn, closer to the opening date, together with Länsimetro Oy and Metropolitan Area Transport Ltd.

Bus 533 will no longer serve the following stops on Kaitaantie and Syvänsalmenkatu:

  • "Peijinkatu" (E4454 and E4455), "Hyljetie" (4453) and "Finnoo, bay 12. Buses 544 and 147N will continue to serve these stops.
  • The "Syväsalmi" (E4471 and E4472) stops will be completely closed.
