The Helsinki Marathon will take place in downtown Helsinki on Saturday, 22 August. The event will cause tram diversions and possible delays to tram and bus services approximately between 8.10am and 3pm.
Changes to tram services on 22 August
Tram 4 will run to Katajanokka terminal under route number 4T between 8am and 9.20am.
The tram will not serve the following stops:
- Vyökatu (H0413 and H0414)
- Ulkoministeriö (H0415)
- Merisotilaantori (H0417 and H0421).

From 9am to 2.45pm, tram 6 will run to the “Telakkakatu” stop (H0446) via Bulevardi, Laivurinkatu, Tehtaankatu and Pursimiehenkatu.
The tram will not serve the following stops:
- Aleksanterin teatteri (H0805)
- Hietalahdentori (H0807 and H0808)
- Telakanpuistikko (H0830 and H0831)
- Munkkisaari (H0828 and H0829)
- Eiranranta (H0826 and H0827).

Possible delays to public transport services
During the race, the runners will cross several streets in downtown Helsinki, which may cause delays to tram and bus services approximately between 8.10am and 3pm.
Delays can be expected on the following tram routes: 1T, 3, 6, 7, 9, 13 and 15.
In addition, delays can be expected on the following bus routes: 22, 23, 40, 55, 57, 61, 65, 66, 67, 71, 77, 78, 79, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 200, 300, 345, 431, 500, 600, 717 and 739.
