Changes to I and P train services at night on 5–9 October – no train services between Martinlaakso and Aviapolis on the night of Wednesday 7 October

Maintenance work on the Main Line and bridge renovation in Kannelmäki will cause changes to I and P train services from Monday 5 to Friday 9 October. Certain I train services will be cancelled in the late evenings. In addition, I and P trains will not run between Martinlaakso and Aviapolis on the night of Wednesday 7 October. Rail replacement bus 499X will run between Martinlaakso, Aviapolis and Helsinki Airport.

Certain I trains are cancelled on the nights of Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 October

I trains departing from Helsinki between 10.06pm and 11.36pm are cancelled on:

  • Monday 5 October
  • Tuesday 6 October

The last I train on Monday and Tuesday evening will depart from Helsinki at 9.51pm.

During the disruption, you can travel on P trains:

  • with an AB ticket via Helsinki Airport to stations south of Tikkurila on the Main Line (Puistola–Käpylä) 
  • with a BC ticket between stations within zones B and C on the Main Line by changing trains at Pasila.

Train services between Martinlaakso and Aviapolis will be disrupted on the night of Wednesday 7 October

I and P trains will not run between Martinlaakso and Aviapolis from 10.40pm on Wednesday 7 October.

Before the disruption, the following commuter trains will be the last services from Helsinki to serve the entire Ring Rail Line:

  • The 9.51pm I train
  • The 10.08pm P train

I and P train services during the disruption:

I trains will run from Helsinki via Helsinki Airport only as far as Aviapolis. The trains will turn back at Aviapolis and continue to Helsinki via Helsinki Airport as P trains.

P trains will run from Helsinki only as far as Martinlaakso. The trains will turn back at Martinlaakso and continue to Helsinki as I trains.

Rail replacement bus 499X will run approximately every 20 minutes via Martinlaakso, Aviapolis and Helsinki Airport.

Changes to I and P train services on the night of Thursday 8 October

I trains departing from Helsinki between 10.06pm and 11.36pm are cancelled.

During the disruption, you can travel on P trains:

    • with an AB ticket via Helsinki Airport to stations south of Tikkurila on the Main Line (Puistola–Käpylä) 
    • with a BC ticket between stations within zones B and C on the Main Line by changing trains at Pasila.

The following changes will also apply:

  • P trains from Helsinki at 0.18am and 0.48am will not run from Helsinki to Kivistö. The trains will depart from Kivistö at 0.47am and 1.17am and continue to Helsinki via Helsinki Airport.
  • Two additional I trains will depart from Helsinki at 0.06am and 0.36am and run via Helsinki Airport to Kivistö.
